Miami-Dade’s income disparity continues to spiral out of control. We, as community, have the ability to reverse this trend by, first and foremost, engaging in conversation about the current housing situation. We invite you to attend an informal conversation with academics, community organizers, and political leaders of Miami-Dade County. Come and learn about the reality of what’s going on in the county, why affordable housing has become increasingly difficult to develop and less and less attainable for Miami-Dade residents.
Panelist Speakers include:
Dr. Ned Murray, Associate Director, Metropolitan Center.
Mandy Bartle, Executive Director at the South Florida Community Land Trust.
Shekeria Brown, Executive Director at South Florida Community Development Coalition.
Daniella Levine-Cava, Commissioner District 8.
Dr. Ralph Rosado, Co-creator and co-instructor of the Community Scholars in Affordable Housing Program.
The event is a free and public panel hosted by The Metropolitan Center at FIU. Join us for happy hour and follow the conversation on Twitter with the hashtag #Prosperity305, with livestreaming via Periscope.
